Frequency of Office Visits
- Initial postoperative visit: Patients are seen for a wound check and suture/staple removal at approximately 2 weeks after surgery.
- Postoperative scheduling: Specific postoperative follow-up schedules vary. However, office visits with x-ray imaging generally occurs at 2–3 months, 4–6 months, 1 year, and 2 years after surgery.
- Other activity at postoperative follow-up: The wound and imaging is checked to ensure there is proper healing and no signs of hardware failure. Patient activity is increased after each office visit.

Other Investigations Required
- Other imaging: If there is concern for complications, such as change in neurologic symptoms, infection, loosening of hardware, etc., other imaging modalities, such as CAT scan or MRI should be considered.
