Dr Keng Siang Lee works at the Department of Neurosurgery, National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore, where he is delighted to be back home with his family.
He previously trained and worked in the United Kingdom, where he was awarded the Dean’s Prize at medical school and later ranked first nationally for the London Specialised Foundation (Clinician-Scientist) Programme in 2023. Alongside his clinical work, he lectured on the MSc Clinical Neuroscience Programme at King’s College London and was subsequently offered a prestigious neurosurgery residency position in London.
Prior to residency, Dr Lee had already published over 95 PubMed-indexed papers, with 50 as first or corresponding author. His main academic interest lies in cerebrovascular disorders, particularly the growth and rupture patterns of cerebral aneurysms and advances in their treatment. He conducts ongoing research under the mentorship of Dr Michael Lawton at the Barrow Neurological Institute. He also maintains strong collaborations with colleagues in the UK, serving as co-principal investigator of the SINO study — a major international multicenter project across the UK and Ireland — with Professor Stephen J. Price of Cambridge.
