I completely agree.  I do essentially the same thing.  I use a tiny Surgicel (that’s the trade name – it’s oxidized cellulose) supported with cotton pledgets.  I will try and send you some videos.  I do not use ultrasonic aspirator or any intraoperative monitoring.  Something like this may be quite difficult to accept in the US.
